I bought this monitor from Amazon/Tiger. It's a great monitor, as you would expect from Samsung. Beautifully styled. It's plug and play, as mentioned in many of the reviews. Several of the reviews mentioned that the sound is tinny??? I don't understand their comments. The monitor has the same sound system that comes with a standard television. If you are not satisfied with the sound level and quality of your existing television you will not be satisfied with the sound quality of this monitor. For me it is fully satisfactory. There are even primitive sound coloring adjustments within the menu.
A couple of cautions that you need to be aware of. Its' high gloss: as such I find myself dusting it all the time because the dust sure shows up on it. The screen is not glossy which is great because it does not reflect items in your house that are behind you. Be aware that there is no wall mounting holes/fasteners provided with this monitor. You have to buy a special kit to wall mount this monitor.
One more thing: The TV portion of this monitor is everything you might expect in a modest TV. I have a big Samsung TV. You don't have quite as many menu controls on this monitor as I have on my main TV but it is fully satisfactory to me. One small irritant (also an advantage at some times) is that remote controller for both this monitor and my TV work both devices. A sticky note over the IR eye on the monitor solved that problem. for me.

I had plenty reservations spending my money on this i mean real deliberations went on but its Excellent I love the purchase i made, the price also well no complaints here it arrived in mint condition wrapped in plastic like a new item should(shipped by TIGER DIRECT). The monitor works perfectly no bleeding or anything like other people said it real sweet i didnt expect it to be so pretty and well speakers are not so powerful but they are built in so what do u really expect but it good enough if u dont have any others you will survive. The tv works well needs an external antenna for me but so does my other tv so no surprise there and i hoping to get another one hopefully the price will hold out or get better right.

As stated, this is NOT a 1080p HDTV. It's resolution is 1650 x 1000 not 1920 x 1080. It takes 1080p input, that's is all.
I discovered this shortly after ordering it and canceled my order. The ride since then with customer service to resolve this so that I might purchase a tv that truly is 1080p, has been horrid.
At one point I had a CS Rep repeatedly lying to me that he was putting me on hold to speak directly the seller and coming back shortly after and stating that the item had already shipped and I would have to wait weeks to even request the refund. This was a complete lie as I had spoken with the seller directly and was told that the order had been properly canceled and Amazon.com held the transaction authorization and I would need to speak with them to authorize the refund. This CS Rep attempted this deception 3-4 times with me telling him each time that I had already spoken with the seller and that I knew for a fact that it was not shipped. Yet he still put me on hold for a min and came back to tell me the same thing, as if it would somehow change the facts if he did it again. I had to demand to speak to a Supervisor (which he almost refused to do, claiming that a manager would only tell me the same thing.) After long debate on this matter and the fact that I was not willing to wait several weeks to get my money back as I wanted to purchase a TV that had the specs this one implied it had, the Supervisor finally agreed to submit the refund request.
He told me that I would get an e-mail when the refund was complete, which I should get that night or the next morning. That night I got the e-mail. However, I did not get the refund. Checking the e-mail, I found that the refund (that now shows as "complete" on my Amazon.com account) will take up to 10 business day to reach my bank.
I, of course, found this completely unacceptable and called Customer Service again. I went through 3 supervisors and the facts are that I still do not have my money back. The Rep I'm currently working with seems sincere and is apparently hoenstly trying to sort things out, but I am sorely disappointed with this service and very upset with the attempted deceptions. And the bottom-line is that it has been days since I canceled this order and Amazon.com has still not passed the transaction on to my bank. They took my money in seconds, but are taking days to give it back even though it is (or at least was) my intent to purchase another item from them.
I have never had this much trouble with a purchase. I've made a multitude of purchases from other on-line vendors and have had the vast majority to match the item as portrayed on the site and when there was a problem, I received fast customer service. Any order that I changed or canceled on the day of purchase was instantly credited to my credit card. The Customer Service Representatives have repeatedly stated that I this is normal policy for Amazon.com.
I am a very unhappy customer at this time. I would not recommend purchasing this item. It is not what it seems to be (the real specs are in a pop-window, but not where it is presented). And addressing this after the purchase has become a real nightmare.
It has been my hope that Amazon would make good on this and, as I said, the current rep does seem to making effort, but the facts are that 4-5 days later, it is still not resolved and I am beginning to feel as though I will simply have to wait out Amazon's 10 business day rule as that is just how they do things.

Nice set, well made and easy to setup. The only thing I do not like about this purchase is that the wall mount was not included. Not everyone is going to put this set on a table. Other than this, nice colors and above all no glare as mine is facing right on a sliding door and it gets the sun light directly on the set. I do not loose anything.
I might pick up another one if I get some money in my pocket :)
